Early Oak

Early oak or period oak is a term used for old country woods, furniture made of; oak, walnut, elm, ash, pine and chestnut

The period Early Oak refers to the time before 1820 and as far back as you like. This early furniture is the easiest to mix with modern paintings and also mixes well with many other periods.

I showcase my Early Oak at Antique fairs across the county and you will often see my pieces mixed with abstract paintings. New flats and houses lend themselves perfectly to a mix including early oak. It’s a fabulous look and is almost child proof.

A period oak coffer…….every house should have at a least one.
